Is it me or were you feeling like this Mother’s Day weekend? Welcome Back dudebros to another blog of The Sweetness, I just want to say Happy Mother’s day once again to all the Mom’s out there and especially to all the people WITHOUT Mother’s anymore this one is for you!! Just so you know my family lives out of state so don’t feel bad if your gifts got delivered today, or you were a tad bit late on giving your mom a card or flowers. Just know that she will always love you and care for you no matter what! I’m just Hoping all you dudebros show more love than once a YEAR!! Let’s kick start this Sweetness….

Does anyone have Mother’s or Grandmother’s who do this anymore?? I hope NOT…Anyway YES happy Moooonday to you as well, now for the guys it was a slow Monday. Spot has been feeling a little under the weather with all this mixture of hot and cold back and forth, Covino is still in L.A. and Dickey well…….we all know he was perky today. I must say another outstanding show very hilarious in case you missed it. Just so you dudebros know Covino has a very funny Jean Claude van Damme impersonation, basically the man was brought up in conversation and kind of like Henry Winkler everyone has a story about you. Covino brought up a story about how his wife Layla ran into Jean Claude Van Damme and let’s just say Jean was very intensive on seducing Layla.

Funniest part was Covino NEVER knew she ran into him let alone met the guy!..Her reply “You never asked!!” So Covino continues on saying how this was right around the time Jean was in the tabloids for getting into bar fights and abusing drugs. He seen Layla and apparently was VERY turned on, obviously she was NOT turned on with a line like “You have nice tits” it all went downhill from there. This shit was so graphic and really too funny I can’t even say it on the Sweetness!! I know I know usually you guys know me for not holding back but I don’t wanna be disrespectful and make a big deal out of someone being a fool. We all have those days, all I CAN say is listen for the playback Tuesday and Thursday.

Rich and Covino were bringing up a good friend to the show Dane Cook and how he has a new show airing on NBC called “Next Caller” It’s about Dane playing a rebellious Satellite Radio disc jockey (Wink Sirius XM) and is forced to share the mic with a chipper NPR feminist. Check out the trailers at “www. NBC.com/next-caller” I must say for Covino and Rich they are looking forward to seeing how it’s gonna play out rumor is NBC put a lot of Sirius XM notions in the series. I will definitely be looking forward to watching this myself just because I love Dane Cook but mostly now with me actually working in a REAL LIVE studio I will get more of the jokes and aspects of being a Satellite disc jockey I think it’s gonna be great!! Plus a lot of people who have never been inside or even seen a live studio or how a radio company makes the magic happen will get this advantage on the show. I think it looks hilarious and seems like NBC is stepping their game up more since a good majority of the ratings is going to other networks for their late night TV shows.

I’m not gonna get into a big debate about this….but if you haven’t read the trilogy of 50 Shades Of Grey IT IS ALL THE RAGE!! The phone lines were mostly in the graveyard shift today(Dead) until the guys brought up this book! I think we got more callers on this one topic than ever before! Most women loved the book and said it’s definitely a must for all ages of women to read. Apparently it’s a book on a guy who is rich, successful, and talented but……a little troubled DUN DUN DUUUNNNNNN. From what I heard A WHOLE lot of sexual content in the book (laaadiessss) kind of a soft porn for women like the old school Fabio books. Do you remember those books on the cover where there is always some guy standing over a balcony or edge of a cliff with water splashing holding on to a women with his pecks and abs all out there YA those type of books!!

50 Shades Of Grey is getting so much buzz right now rumor is there is gonna be a movie on the trilogy. Ohhhhh boy!! This is nothing new to me I’m sorry, we had women calling in and saying how the book spiced up their sex life. REALLY THOUGH?! How old are you? and it took you this long to ask your man, husband, boyfriend if he wants to do anal or switch up a position? Get the fuck outta here!! Funny enough with your man already KNOWING and WILLING to do so ON CALL I don’t think it takes a book with this type of content to spice up a sex life. No wonder you can’t hold a relationship (Guys and Girls) communication and trust is key remember that. I’m sure you’re all thinking damn Rick why are you hating?! I’m not I just don’t see how a genre like “Erotic Fiction” can get a best selling novel award when their are PLENTY of books that discuss more than sex and relationships. We have MAJOR issues going on in this world and just a reminder I’m 22 years old so I’m still in my let’s party and get with every girl I can stage so don’t think I don’t care about getting laid because trust me I do! It’s just not in my priorities to make it my constant want and need in this life. I want MORE out of life but think about it production companies are already thinking about the $$ they will be making off this STUPID content and what’s even better they will TRIPLE their fortunes with a trilogy. Let’s worry about actual things going on in this world not how to “steam up my sex life and look for Mr. Perfect” NOBODY is perfect so how can you look for him/her??

On to the next BREAKING NEWS Mark Zuckerberg’s HOODIE!!! I feel like today we are just talking about irrelevant things. People are really mad because Mark is wearing a hoodie to conferences and big IMPORTANT meetings and not a suit? Why is this even NEWS?? Last time I checked WE were not suppose to judge a book on it’s COVER.(Unless there Fabio type of books) Seriously though why judge a man who has a sweater on when more than half this world probably wears hoodies and sweaters. YOUR probably wearing one right now reading this!! I understand being in a board meeting and shit like that but check up on what the man is bringing to the table and talking about. Did we forget the man is still a young successful adult who is a self made Billionaire!? Praise him for that don’t player hate him because of what he is wearing. I wonder if all these executives are even paying attention in the board meetings or are they thinking “look at this young punk with his sweater on thinking he got more money than me huh fucking dweeb” These are the same executives on Wall St. scheming and fucking up OUR money and getting richer by the second!!

Later on they get the note from their managers and assistants telling them ummmmmm ya Johnson maybe you should put some shares into FACEBOOK it’s looking up this month. The KID is on the verge of hitting 100 BILLION dollars with HIS company let him LIVE. I’m gonna end this sweetness with this……..Who the fuck made up a rule of you having to wear a suit to important events?! Yes you LOOK presentable in a suit but people are suppose to be LISTENING to what you have to say not judging you on what your wearing or making it a fashion statement leave that for the red carpets. Just a little side note as well it wasn’t too long ago when MAFIA guys were in a suit and tie with buffed shoes and slick hair, people use to call us GANGSTERS because of what we wore and how we looked. So what, now we are productable citizens in society?!? Nah I’m not going for that.

The show started off with a bang- and the noise was made by Michael Winslow, he stopped by the

studio to talk about V0ca-people and some other pretty cool stuff.

When you think about sound effects who else would you think of but the always awesome Michael Winslow, and he did not disappoint. He was a big sound effect guy in the 80s (think Police Academy) and since then some sound effects have changed. There is no more AOL modem noise anymore, new technology requires different sound, and he has kept up. He also did the an entire scene from Police Academy in studio, felt like I was watching the movie.

He said that he knew he was meant to do this, he has this talent, which is good and bad. He says that all the sound comes alive for him, which can get a little hectic in a place like NY. He also said that when he started out he was living in his car trying to make it. Thankfully he did make it, and now we have his sound effects everywhere.

What’s funny is that we could have used his sound effects to calm down the room after since Spot and Rich decided to talk about gay marriage and the Obama statement.

Obama basically said that he still believes in state rights  but personally believes in gay people having the right to vote. People have constantly been asking President Obama what he thinks about gay marriage (you can see his response here), he finally responded- saying he supports it.

Spot was against this, not because he doesn’t believe in gay marriage, but because he believes it is a political move, four years ago Obama won by getting the young person vote, now four years later he has lost it, so is this a way to get the young vote again? Is it really just a way to get back in the political good graces and gets votes?

Covino said this does not make sense only because Obama is more likely to lose votes by saying he is pro-gay marriage.

Spot said, the one thing he does not get is why Rich is so fired up about this issue?

Rich said isn’t America supposed to be based on equality for all? If two guys or girls want to get married why should they not be able to? Why should they not have the rights of everyone else.

Louis CK said it best:

Wanted to kind of bring the straight into the room by talking about role-playing, is it awkward or adventurous? Rich said that his wife decided to spa role-play with him, and well, it was  fun, but he always gets awkward about it. He doesn’t know how to act like it is normal, when she suggests doing the stranger in a bar thing, he always fails at it (“but you’re my wife, I know you”)

Covino said he would never do it, sex should not include giggles and well, role-playing may incorporate some laughter, that is a stiff killer. 

Spot said it is entertaining, to pretend you are someone else, or you have different jobs, but the best part is the sexual pants that come up (get it..)

For example:

Covino pretends to be a Jehova’s Witness knocks on the door and say’s: “Hello, I have something for you”

Layla: “I don’t care about being a Jehova’s Witness”

Covino: “You definitely want to witness this”

so while it may be awkward, it may also be fun, assuming you are with the same person for a while, you are going to have to spice it up and try something new- doing the stranger one every once in a while can be great, and, it is better then your girl/boyfriend or husband/wife finding a real stranger for one night…

Ya I thought so, another Covino and Rich action packed show today! Women, ass, sports, ass, relationshits(See if you caught that), Marriage, ass, dudebros, music, I did mention hot sweet ass right??? Ass, Ass, Ass!! Let’s kick start this Sweetness off the right way!

                Figured I give all my dudebros a nice pic…(Meaning the left side)  You know it’s bad when your boy Bieber be grabbing some ass too!! Even if shorty got a pancake lol So Spot and I started off SpotCenter this morning since Covino was a little late to jump on Skype and Rich was finishing off some last minute things in the office. Spot asked me what the Beastie Boys meant to me? I was not nervous to speak my mind today so I just spoke very highly about them because if you are really into Hip-Hop music I mean REAL Hip-Hop music you gotta respect the Beastie Boys as being one of the pioneers in this game. It’s such a terrible thing to hear a fellow artist pass away at such a young age, I know it’s been almost 2 weeks since the man passed but some people still can’t get over the shocking news. Again my heart and prayers go out to the Yauch family, just a little fun fact if you knew anything about Adam he was always Speaking the TRUTH. Pushing forward to get our communities back in shape trying to reshape Hip-Hop to the way it use to be and not with all this garbage that’s out doing it to get paid. WE make music and love Hip-Hop music especially because it’s part of our culture it’s a way of life for us. Not some easy way to get out the hood and make a million bucks it doesn’t work like that SORRY.

                   I wanna say just for the record, hopefully most of you reading this will know I AM Hip-Hop. I’m not a blogger or a HUMAN BEING who just starts screaming out OMG R.I.P. Blah Blah Blah I listened to the Beastie Boys and I will CONTINUE listening to the Beastie Boys and every other great icon we lost in this NON-stop struggle. On a different topic I don’t even wanna say happy note because the guys brought up a great debate about the difference between Marriage and being in a relationship. Is there even a difference?? Spot agreed so claiming that there is a HUGE difference between the two.

                 His take on the situation was he felt like going into marriage your obviously way more committed but you should already have that bond with your significant other. Before you even decide to walk down that aisle you and your partner should be great friends and understand each other and wanna make that move TOGETHER. Compared to being in a relationship working out the difficulties and characteristics between each other. Rich made a great point about this, he basically stated that when your in a relationship you really don’t care about the others success as much as you care about your own success and getting your goals accomplished. Now when you are married and committed to that person you wanna wish them all the luck and success you can because you two are working as a TEAM now.

                That’s the biggest difference I seen in the topic, relationships you still act like a bachlor and could careless what your woman says or you could be that guy testing the waters with this new girl and seeing if she could possibly be that ONE. Marriage your STUCK with each other, and Covino brought up a great point as well mentioning YES if your married you can always get a divorce even though that’s a major headache. If you two end up having a kid together that’s when your STUCK with that person for life!! Remember kids don’t be a fool wrap your tool, and if you do decide to have children make sure you wanna marry this girl or even think the relationship will LAST!!

                 Lastly to end this sweetness….Did you guess the random trivia?? well Lou Diamond Phillips was in the building today!! He was on the show to promote his new show “Longmire” which airs on A&E June 3rd. “It’s a contemporary western, it’s based on the novels by Greg Johnson.” He also stated the show will solve a lot of it’s crimes in the episode and not make you wait next week for what happens. “Some episodes may make you wait but for the most part we solve all the crimes within the episode.” A little fun fact for all you Lou fanatics the man started off working at “Water Burger” down in the big state of Texas he later became a cook at a breakfast place where he got his first shine of celebrities none other than Willie Nelson showed up asking for sunscreen?? Ya only Willie, later on deciding to grab a breakfast omelette for the road. I will say Lou is funny as hell! the one thing the guys LOVED about him the whole time in the studio he was reciting quotes from random movies (His own and others) and if you know Covino and Rich they are KNOWN for reciting random movies and references. Big shout out to Lou Diamond Phillips!! Stand and Deliver will always be my favorite movie!! At least right next to La Bamba!

Want to feel better or worse, really it could go either way, look at Tom Brady’s new haircut:

Yup, pretty ridiculous, TMZ is calling it a pampa-hawk, mixture of a pompadour and a Mohawk, so either feel great that Brady looks like an idiot, or feel bad that he CAN look like an idiot because he has a pretty clean record, multiple Super Bowl rings, and a hot wife.

Better yet, don’t think of any of that just laugh at his hair, enjoy the sight.

It went from laughter to, well some yelling, when the conversation about the Cole Hamels/Bryce Harper incident began. Cole Hamels threw a ball with the intention of hitting Bryce Harper, and later, in a press conference, admitted to throwing it intentionally, he said that this is a representation of old school baseball and “Welcome to the big leagues”

Covino and Rich both agreed that although trying to hit a player is wrong, it is part of baseball, it happens, where they disagree is on what Hamels said after. Rich said it was wrong and classless of Hamels to come out after and admit that it was intentional. Covino said, although counter-progressive, it was refreshing that someone in sports was finally honest.

Now both sides are kind of understandable, but I kind of agree with Covino more, it is annoying and kind of representative of American culture (America, baseball, all we need is Apple Pie to make this super patriotic), we know something is going on but we are only happy if no one speaks about it, then when someone speaks about it people either applaud or, majority of people, get angry. It is silly that people are ok with this behavior happening only if we don’t acknowledge it was intentional.

If that annoyed you, well then, prepare for the pussification of America Massachusetts is trying to make a law about junk food and that will extend to getting rid of bake sales in school. First this is stupid because a lot of schools use bake sales as a way to raise money for student trips, no one is going to buy a banana or an orange.  

Next, let’s not only blame bake sales, there are so many factors, first there is just unhealthy food available anywhere, that is where it is up to the parents, and I understand there is not always the time to make sure every meal is healthy- but the majority of meals should be. Next is the problem that kids don’t know what it is to be active- force your kid to do a sport at this point, or go outside and run around, the fact that kids spend most of their time playing video games and computer games and not really getting any type of exercise.

A bake sale once in a while will not hurt anyone- but it’s got to be ONCE IN A WHILE- the whole problem is that there has to be moderation.

Next just a sort bit on Travolta- a news story came out that there is a lawsuit against him, he is being sued for 2 million by a masseur that said Travolta kept prodding him and trying to touch his genitals. He may be gay, he may not let’s not ruin my childhood, I loved the movie Grease, Saturday Night Fever, and well just John Travolta overall, I mean I even liked him in Pelham 123 and From Paris, With Love. So let him figure himself out and just stay out of the media, because, well I like him (and me liking someone is clearly all that matters)

A Friend in Need wrote into the show saying that he is 27 years old, is girlfriend and him have been dating for 6 years, since he was 21 and she was 19. He has been feeling pressure to propose, and he was planning to, he was just waiting for her to finish school. Now recently his girlfriend went out without him, till late at night, and did not say anything about where she is going. Now she is saying that she needs to know she can survive on her own before she can commit to him, he wanted to know what does this mean?

Covino and Rich, even Spot, where more unanimous on this, that she wants to go out and explore other men, but she is afraid to let go, figure out she already has what she wants, and still have him there.

Spot also pointed out something that can be very true, these two got together at a very young age, it is most likely that she now realized she missed out on experiencing her 20s and wants to try to keep some of it and live it up, she probably knows she can spend the rest of her life with this guy, but she still wants to make sure that she has the experiences she wants to, or thinks she should have, in her 20s.

There is a woman named Sharon Simmons- she is 55 years old and trying out to be a NFL chearleader, check out the link here, she actually looks pretty good, but I don’t think she will make it, partially because of her age, partially because she looks like she can’t bend like a 20 year old can (more bending than I can but less than those younger cheerleaders), who knows I guess we will see.

              No there is no half naked hot beautiful women starting off this Sweetness, it’s more like driving down “Electric Avenue” in the studio today! It’s a MONDAY so I know you are still recovering from the weekend as much as I am. Rich and Covino decided to turn the studio into studio 54 for a little bit and play your classic “Cheesiest” songs from the 80′s. Be sure to listen to the replay tomorrow because man did we get a ton of feed back from our listeners!! So lets kick start this Sweeeeeet Monday off!!                              

                                            -In case you missed it YES Floyd Money Mayweather WON AGAIN.

            Can you say entourage??  That’s who Floyd Mayweather had as a posse surrounding him walking him down to the ring Saturday night. Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne, and floyd’s best bud 50 Cent all ring side waiting to see their boy whoop some ass. Now this is for everyone who DIDN’T already hear about this fight, Cotto put up a great fight I’m not gonna lie he definitely put some work into Mayweather’s face. Mayweather had the first few rounds just because I know how he gets down that was a given but around the 6th-7th round Cotto was STILL not backing down he looked like we might take this. For the judges it was a Unanimous decision and it fell for Floyd, “118-110, 117-111″

             I was just glad the fight wasn’t over in the second or third round or even a rumor of one cheating or the other throwing the fight. I use to be a HUGE boxing fan I remember my pops talking to me about it taking me to fights just learning the aspects of boxing and the skills one has to do in order to win. After growing up and realizing Boxing is probably the biggest hoax and political sport I fell back a few steps. I know most people now-a-days went from traditional boxing to UFC, which is understandable because they actually beat the shit out of each other and don’t have to worry about someone wanting to throw the fight to make others pleased. I am not a big UFC fan but I don’t mind watching it with some friends or family if it happens to be on.

                Ok enough of THE FIGHT this is another reason why I hate boxing everyone all of a sudden watches classic boxing and loves to talk shit about it!! Not a good look, either way you are probably wonder why……..Slick Rick why the fuck do you have some corny 80′s poster up on the blog and not a smoking hot naked chick?? Well Rich was feeling out of it today not just because it was Monday!! (Hardest working man I know in Sirius) this guy wakes up at like 4a.m. to be at work for 6a.m. In case you dudebros or dudettes(Laaadies) didn’t know or have a finger up your butt the man is a host on “The Morning Mash-Up” check it out if you haven’t already!!

                Back to the story Rich was just really feeling it today it’s Monday, crazy packed weekend a lot of events with not only THE FIGHT, The Kentucky Derby and now he has to continue dealing with this depressing weather (Rain alllll weekend and TODAY!!)  plus Covino is in L.A. so I’m sure the man can’t really have an enjoyable time with Spot and myself their doing all the behind the scenes stuff. Covino (on Skype) took action and told Rich he is gonna cheer him up by playing Cheezy 80′s tunes!! Think about it who doesn’t have a smile on their face when hearing Eddy Murphy “Party All The Time” or even the classic theme song “Footloose” maybe a little Duran Duran for your soul?? Feeling like a Virgin today? Either way the studio turned into a club when Rich started playing all these iconic tunes. I must say he got pumped, while Spot and I danced all day in the studio!

                 Speaking of music Covino got into a heated debate about what women will do to become rich and famous…..more or less FAMOUS. Saying how a lot of ladies (And MEN) basically have to do a sexual act just to be mentioned as an extra, sidekick role in a film or even perhaps be able to be on T.V. Many of you will skeptical about what Hollyweird REALLY does behind close doors but Covino was busting one of those doors open. I was completely with him I just knew we couldn’t go as far down the root as I would of liked to. Both of the guys brought up great points that YES there are whores who will do anything and I mean ANYTHING just to get the spotlight. Then their are WOMEN who bust they ass everyday every minute (Like the C+R’s wives Shout out to Layla and Sarah!!) Unfortunately the industry movie or music doesn’t play by those rules THEY make up their own rules for you to follow. Now if you break those rules……..That’s a different topic to discuss maybe on my own show one day. 

                               I will tell you guys this…. study your HISTORY, READ a book and STOP believing everything you watch and see on youtube or T.V.!!
